My family visits Corfu every year, so we explore every transport option to navigate the island.

These adventures, along with insights from our local friends, have helped us learn the easiest ways to get around.

To give you a heads-up, Bolt isn’t available in Corfu.

But don’t panic, the other transport options available are excellent 🤩

(The bus or hiring a car is my go-to).

To help you during your trip, let’s dive in and explore the best ways to get around Corfu Island without Bolt!

The Top Ways To Get Around Corfu: Quick Overview

Let’s get the basics covered quickly for you!

There is currently NO BOLT in Corfu;

So to help you plan how to get around, here are the best transport options:

✈️ Need to book an airport transfer?

Maria’s Tourist Services – An affordable private transfer to get you to and from the airport with an amazing driver!

🚗 Looking to hire a car? (My top option)

DiscoverCars.Com– I ALWAYS use this tool to compare EVERY rental option available

🚖 Need to book a taxi?

Kiwi Taxi– The best way to book any taxi journey online

🚕 Thinking of using Uber?

This is a fairly new service but many users have commented that they are just ordinary taxis

🚌 Thinking of getting the bus in Corfu?

KTEL Buses – How most locals get around because it’s cheap!

Is There Bolt In Corfu?

No, there is no Bolt in Corfu.

However, Uber is available if you are looking for a ride-sharing app.

It’s worth noting that ride-sharing isn’t the most popular way to travel around Corfu.

Most visitors (like myself) and locals prefer taking the bus or renting a car.

🚗To explore the Island in the best way, book your car hire with Discover Cars

🚌 KTEL Buses are epic for saving money but take longer and may not go to your destination

🏆 The Best Of Corfu Tour is a great option if you want to explore just for a day

🤩 For those who just want to reach their hotel and relax, I recommend booking your transfer with Maria’s Tourist Services

Should I Use Uber To Get Around Corfu?

Uber is a great option for those who want door-to-door service.

However, they are just like regular taxis. Not many people use this service around the Island.

The public transport is so cheap and taxis are easy to find. The only pro of using Uber is that you can book it on your device.

How To Get Around Without Using Bolt, Lyft Or Uber In Corfu

Even though there is no Bolt in Corfu, don’t let that put you off exploring!

There are so many amazing ways to get around. No matter your budget or preference, I’ve got your back 💪

These are the best ways to get around Corfu without using ridesharing apps:

Renting A Car:

a round white sticker on a silver car reading "Corfu Plus rental company". This is one of the best places on the island to get a quick and cheap car

This is the most popular option.

You will find so many places to rent a car or scooter around the Island so you don’t have to do it straight away.

But if you book any rental in advance, you save a fair bit of money!

I always think this is the best way to get around Corfu as you don’t have to rely on someone else.

It also really frustrated me how expensive airport transfers are, so this can help with that too!

This is one of the best ways to keep costs low if you are travelling as a group. The cost of multiple taxis or buses will add up!

The roads are easy to drive and if you ever get lost (like I have) everyone around is willing to help.

I also prefer getting around Corfu by car because there are loads of places you can’t reach without one.

Waiting for public transport is also the bane of my life so this is the best way to avoid it!

🤩 For the best rates and great customer service, I highly recommend using Discover Cars.

I always use them wherever I’m renting a car on a trip because they have so many perks.

The thing I love most is they compare EVERY OPTION on the island, saving you a fortune!

🏆Corfu Explore Car Hire– is the most popular rental option with fantastic reviews and 24-hour airport pick-up.

Bus:

Another option for travelling is using Corfu public transport.

The buses on the island are clean and even have Wi-Fi!

There are also so many routes that connect you all across the Island;

You can even get to safe beaches like Glyfada super easily!

However, the wait is hard in the heat. Bring some water and find shade if you can!

Also, another heads up, the locals don’t like to queue. It is everyone for themselves so be prepared 😳

A single ticket is around 1.5-2 Euros and you can get an all-day ticket for around 5.

This is the cheapest way to get around without a doubt!

Taxi:

Choosing a taxi to navigate Corfu proves to be one of the most convenient and efficient travel options!

With door-to-door service and experienced local drivers, you can’t go wrong.

You not only benefit from their in-depth knowledge of the area but also gain insights into the culture and recommendations for off-the-beaten-path attractions.

Taxis in Corfu also provide a stress-free travel experience without the hassle of public transportation schedules.

Boat:

This was the view from my private boat!

I cannot recommend booking a boat trip and using this to get around to see the main sites enough!

I seriously love getting around this way 😍

Booking a boat trip not only allows you to explore hidden coves, secluded beaches, and charming fishing villages, but it also provides a tranquil and scenic journey.

It’s also a great way to avoid the crowds and visit destinations only available by boat!

On my last trip, we paid €90 for three hours- so is great for families or bigger groups.

So I wouldn’t recommend using this as your regular transport around the Island but do it at least once, you won’t be disappointed!

Is There Bolt In Corfu? Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, you won’t find Bolt anywhere in Corfu.

But don’t panic, I promise you won’t miss it!

With great buses, car rentals, scooters and even Uber, you are spoilt for choice.

To save money, opt for the bus. This is the best option if you are planning short trips.

But if you want to experience off-the-beaten-path Corfu, hire a car or scooter. There are some parts of the island you simply cannot reach without one.
