So, Can You Walk From Corfu Airport To Corfu Town?
Technically you can, but not many people do.
It’s a hard walk, I wont sugar coat it.
Not only do you have to fight the heat but the aggressive Greek roads. Then when you combine this with luggage it truly isn’t worth it.
You will be putting yourself through all that pain to save yourself the grand total of a 2 Euro bus ticket.
So my advice is to get a transfer, no one wants to be exhausted before they’ve even started to explore Corfu!

How Long Is The Walk From Corfu Airport To The Town?
It is aproximetely a 34 minute walk and in the heat and with luggage, not worth it.
However, if you want to walk it, below is the best and fastest route from the Airport:

What Is The Best Way To Get From Corfu Airport?
As I’ve mentioned, I don’t recommend walking.
It is not the safest way to reach Corfu Town and transfers are pretty cheap (You can even get an Uber)
Here are the top transfers I recommend from Corfu Airport to reach Corfu Town:
Rent A Car

Renting a car or moped is hands down the best way to get around Corfu. You’re not stuck waiting for buses or paying for expensive taxis, and you have total freedom to explore at your own pace.
It’s also one of the most budget-friendly options, especially if you’re traveling in a group.
Splitting the cost of a rental can work out much cheaper than multiple taxi fares or airport transfers, and you won’t have to worry about surge pricing or availability.
The roads in Corfu are fairly easy to navigate, and if you do take a wrong turn (as I have more than once!), the locals are always happy to point you in the right direction.
Plus, driving gives you access to those hidden safe beaches, charming villages, amazing day trips and breathtaking viewpoints you’d never stumble across otherwise.
Personally, I hate waiting around for public transport (The UK has tested my patience enough), so having my own wheels is a game-changer.
If you want the freedom to explore Corfu on your own terms, renting a car or scooter is 100% the way to go!
🤩 For the cheapest rates and great customer service, I always use and PERSONALLY recommend using Discover Cars! 🤩
I always use them because they do the hard work comparing EVERY SINGLE OPTION!

Bus

Another option for getting from the Airport to Corfu Town is public transport.
The island’s buses are clean and efficient and are a popular airport transfer.
The transfer time is roughly 20 minutes and leaves from terminal A.
A single ticket will cost you around €2, and you can grab an all-day pass for about €5, making it an affordable choice if you don’t drive or just want to avoid the hassle of renting a vehicle.
That said, taking the bus in summer can be a bit of a mission.
Long waits in the Mediterranean heat aren’t exactly fun, and once the bus arrives, it’s less of an orderly queue and more of a free-for-all—so be prepared to hold your ground!
☝️ This is not the best option for you if you have a late or early flight as the bus services isn’t 24/7.
Taxi
If you’re after the easiest and most convenient way to get from Corfu Airport to Corfu Town, a taxi is the way to go.
As soon as you step outside the terminal, you’ll find plenty of them waiting, so there’s no need to pre-book. but in the summer months the line for taxis can get crazy 😳
You won’t find Bolt drivers outside (because it isn’t available) and Uber is run using local taxis.
Corfu Taxis offer a reliable door-to-door service, which is a lifesaver if you’ve got heavy luggage or just want to get straight to your hotel!
The journey into Corfu Town is quick and smooth, and you can expect to pay around €15–€40, depending on your destination.
That said, taxis aren’t the cheapest option. But for a stress-free start to your trip, they’re definitely worth considering!

For the ultimate stress-free arrival, booking a private transfer is a solid choice.
It’s probably the most expensive option (though not by much), but what you get in return is total convenience—no waiting around, no scrambling for a taxi, just a driver ready and waiting to whisk you straight to your destination.
⭐️ My parents ALWAYS get a private transfer because they love the door to door service and isn’t much more expensive than a taxi! ⭐️
The service is first-class, with plenty of companies offering air-conditioned vehicles and even meet-and-greet options at the airport!
If you want to get to Corfu Town quickly and comfortably (especially after a long flight)—this is the smoothest ways to do it.
