My family and I travel to Corfu a few times a year—it’s one of our favorite destinations. While I don’t smoke, some of my travel companions do, so we’re always on the hunt for a decent smoking area.

If you’re wondering whether Corfu Airport has one, the short answer is yes…but only outside the terminal, not inside.

Does Corfu Airport Have A Smoking Area?

It does, just one and it’s outside the airport so it’s a bit of a pain for frequent smokers.

Corfu airport is a smoke-free place so you will not be allowed to smoke anywhere outside of this area. This includes lounges, resturants and the outdoor bar area.

Where Is The Smoking Area In Corfu Airport?

As I just mentioned, there is no smoking room or anywehere else you can smoke inside the airport in Corfu (Sorry😢)

But, there is an area outside the terminal where you can smoke.

The easiest way to find it is by exiting the arrivals hall and turn left. You’ll find the designated smoking area near the main entrance, where smoking is permitted.

It is simiular to airports like Luton so if you have flown from this airport before you know, smokers need to be prepared.

Once through security you will not be allowed back to the smoking area. You will be fined if you smoke anywhere else in the airport, so don’t risk it!

Is There An Outdoor Area At Corfu Airport?

Yup, there is an outdoor beer garden in departers!

This is a lovely new area to grab a bite to eat and drink while getting some last minute sun.

But sorry to tell you that you cannot smoke in this area.

How Do I Smoke If I Have A Connecting Flight At Corfu Airport?

If you’re connecting to another flight, heads up!

To use the smoking area, you’ll need to exit the secure zone, which means going back through security to re-enter.

Make sure you’ve got enough time between flights to avoid any last-minute stress.

Corfu is an extremely busy airport at times and getting through security can take a long time so don’t leave anything last minute.

Can You Vape In Corfu Airport?

The rules for vaping are exactly the same as for smoking.

You can’t vape anywhere inside the terminal, but there’s the designated smoking area outside where it’s allowed

Final Thoughts

Corfu airport is a super handy airport to use if you are exploring the Island or even thinking of Island hopping.

But it isn’t exactly smoker- friendly with ONE area outside of the area.

Also, I do recommend getting your transfer here a bit earlier to the airport(especially if you want smoking breaks). There are plenty of options like reliable buses, Taxis, Uber and private transfers.

I say this because from my experience, the airport can be a bit chaotic!
